In 2006, House of Speed (HOS) began franchising. By expanding our vision of developing speed, heart, and character in a broader market of young athletes across the nation, we can best achieve our dream of building the next generation of leaders. With a growing number of youth participation in sports, there has been an increase in competition, creating a high demand for group and individual training sessions to help distinguish certain athletes from others. House Of Speed is dedicated to helping athletes enhance the one quality an athlete needs most: speed.

Our founder, Don Beebe, exhibited this character in both his NFL career and later in his subsequent transition to private life. Our athletes will be more likely to excel wherever their lives take them. House Of Speed Franchise Concept

House of Speed is an agility-training program for any athlete over the age of ten and up to the pro level.

This concept is all about kids. The company believes that sports are a tremendous tool for teaching an athlete the principles needed to tackle life’s challenges. The market is growing rather rapidly. Parents, schools and athletes have seen the difference how professional sports training and speed enhancement makes a huge difference in an athlete’s future. The demand is high; especially for a high quality product and parents are realizing a program such as this can deliver a competitive edge for their child.

Buying a House of Speed Franchise

The concept is very simple to get started without a large amount of overhead. You can operate a House of Speed initially from a "shared facility" like a private school gym, a Church facility or a YMCA. Should you partner with one of these type facilities you will give these locations a share of the gross profits, which is typically around 15%. This is a win for these facilities as well as an easy income stream without any effort. If you prefer, you can lease a light industrial space for the facility. Should you choose to lease a facility, you will be looking for a location that is a minimum of 1,500 square feet.

The Role of the Franchise Owner

This is what we call an “executive model” franchise.

  • The company is looking for highly motivated individuals that have a passion to help athletes succeed both on and off the field.
  • You will be hiring 3 positions in your company to get you started. First, you will hire an Operations Manager. This person’s responsibility is to handle the finances, logistics and operations of the franchise. This person will work with House of Speed’s corporate office to assist in applying logistical standards to the franchise.

    The second position needed is the Lead Trainer. The Lead Trainer oversees all training for the franchise. He/she too will work with the corporate office to ensure the proper training methods to the athletes and other trainers.

    The last position to fill is the Marketing Director. The Marketing Director manages the “face” of the franchise by implementing the company’s packaged marketing strategies. Your role here is to oversee these employees and make the brand known in the community. You will be networking within your community to coaches and parents educating them on the concept while building relationships to gain new customers.
The franchisee can be both the Marketing Director and/or the Operations Manager if they prefer. The key employees to hire are the Lead Trainers. The Lead Trainer will assist in finding clients, interviewing and evaluating. The franchisee can take a passive role as well as a semi absentee owner, if preferred.

Marketing Your Franchise:

The market for sports performance training in the U.S. is growing rapidly. Parents, schools, and athletes have begun to see the difference how professional sports training and speed enhancement makes a huge difference in an athlete’s future. The demand for suppliers of this service are high, especially those that can deliver a high quality product and parents are realizing a program such as House of Speed can deliver a competitive edge for their child. House of Speed delivers exactly what the market is looking for.

I don’t know if you are familiar with Don Beebe. Don was an NFL player for the Buffalo Bills and Super Bowl champion with the Green Bay Packers. Don is very involved in the day-to-day operations of the business. He will personally help to launch a new franchise location.

The House of Speed Marketing team will arrange interviews for Don on local sports radio stations and TV if available to speak about the concept. Don will also personally conduct the first training camp and has been experimenting with the model for 10 years and trained 30,000 athletes to date including many professional athletes. In addition, this is the type of concept that has very strong word of mouth advertising along with a marketing tool kit for the franchisee to implement. House of Speed gets very strong word of mouth advertising due to the high need and demand for this type of training.

Facilities: There are 3 models to consider:

  • Shared Facility: This model keeps the investment lower

  • Light Industrial: A location such as an abandoned grocery store.

  • Dome Concept: This is the most costly model. Typically you would be looking for specific real estate to build an “air dome.”
